MCC Golf Finishes Second At MACJC Event #2

The Meridian Community College golf team finished second at MACJC Event number 2 at Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Raymond, MS Sunday afternoon.

The Eagles shot 307 on the second day to jump into second place. Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College finished first overall in the field of teams.

Leading the Eagles in the second round was Dallas Shepard with a 74 and Luther Thompson with a 75.
Austin Terrell, playing as an individual, and had his second consecutive top ten finish by placing 7th overall (79, 74). Shepard (81, 74), Ty Medling (73, 82) and Chase Taylor (79, 76) each finished tied for eleventh. Connor Cavin shot 78, 78 to finish 16th. Thompson (83, 75), Nathan Kirkland (80, 80) and Beau McMullen (Individual- 77, 89) also competed for MCC.

The Eagles return to action by hosting the Lou Hart Invitational on March 3-4 at Northwood Country Club.
