MCC Soccer Announces 2014 Recruiting Class

The Meridian Community College men’s soccer program has had
one of the most storied traditions that can’t be matched by any other junior
college program in the state of Mississippi. The Eagles announced the addition
of 12 players to its 2014 recruiting class that was announced in front of
family and friends at the Castell Gallery Friday afternoon on the campus at
MCC.
“It is an exciting time to have all of these great players
coming to MCC,” said MCC men’s soccer coach Alex George. “We are very honored
to have the opportunity to be a part of these athletes educational journey over
the next two years.”
The program was able to ink players from all over the state
of Mississippi and two of the players were from the local area. Dalton Marshall
and Preston Anderson of Neshoba Central were the two local products that inked
their scholarships with the Eagles on Friday.
The remaining student-athletes their signed with the Eagles
on Friday included: Hunter Stewart (Oxford), Curtis McClain (Warren Central),
Jamison McKee (Starkville Academy), Addison Peek (Petal), Brendon Bermudez
(West Harrison), Dylan Blackburn (West Jones), Chase Brown (West Jones), Dillon
Joiner (Harrison Central), Hayden Grier (Harrison Central), and Gage Peterson
(Hancock).
