was Heather Harwell from Clarkdale High School. Harwell will join her former
team mate, Kayla Phillips, on the squad at MCC next season. Phillips led the
Lady Eagles in assists during the 2013 season and was among the leaders in the
nation in the same category for most of the season. Harwell will look to had
help at defender next season for the Lady Eagles who finished with a 5-5 record
in MACJC South Division play.
The Lady Eagles also added one more defender to its roster
for the 2014 season with the signing of Skylar Guthrie from Florence High
School. MCC will also welcome a pair of new midfielder’s to campus next season
with the signings of Tori Riebock (Florence High School) and Summer Stockstill
(Picayune High School). The Lady Eagles added one forward to Monday’s signing
class with the addition of Katie Valentine from Laurel Christian High School.
MCC completed its signing class by inking two keeper’s for
the 2014 season. Chanler Pickering (Northeast Jones High School) and Britney
King (Richland High School) both signed as well during the ceremony Monday.
Both players will look for playing time in 2014 and also look to fill the empty
