MCC men look for three straight, Lady Eagles on the road Saturday

(MERIDIAN)- After blowing out two opponents by 20-plus points on back-to-back nights last week, the Meridian Community College men’s basketball team (5-3) looks to continue their winning streak at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday when they face Wallace-Selma in Selma, Ala.

The two teams met back on November 15th when the home-standing Eagles survived a double overtime game with visiting Wallace-Selma, 102-100.

Against the Patriots, MCC’s Tommy Tillman scored 24 points while Mario Luckett scored 20 points. Chris Walker led Selma with 41 points, while Michael Acoff added 36 points for the Patriots.

After Wednesday’s contest at Selma, the Eagles will return home to entertain Albany Technical College Saturday, December 6th at the Graham Gymnasium. That game is slated for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off.

Meanwhile, on that same day (Dec. 6) the MCC Lady Eagles will travel to Hanceville, Ala. to face Wallace State-Hanceville at 2:00 p.m. The Lady Eagles are 6-2 on the year and are coming off a 10 point road win at Bishop State last Monday night.
