MCC men fall to Genesis One

(MERIDIAN) - The Meridian Community College men's basketball team fell short in their contest against Genesis One Christian School on Wednesday, losing 70-63.

The Eagles trailed virtually the entire game and were down by 10 points at the half, 36-26.

Leading in the scoring column for MCC was Travis Thompson who had 17 points and Patrick McCurtis with 16 points. Tommy Tillman added 12 points.

Thompson also pulled down 11 rebounds for MCC.

Ryan Baker of Genesis One led all scorers with 27 points to lead them to victory.

With the loss, MCC fell to 3-2 on the year and will look to bounce back Saturday at 2 p.m. when they host Marion Military Institute.
