Parker leads MCC to 3rd straight
Meridian Community College turned a five-point halftime lead into a nine-point win Saturday.
Former Meridian High standout Tiara Parker had a game-high 22 points as the Lady Eagles knocked off Wallace-Selma 81-72.
LaQuita Burrough scored 17, while Brittany Bohannon — a Kemper County product — added 15. Both are freshmen.
Maranda Anderson put up 13 points for MCC.
Tiara Logan of Philadelphia had four points, but pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds.
Keshara Moore and Shauntay Gooden each had 15 for the visitors, while Kiara Burch scored 10.
Meridian (3-0) will host No. 2 Trinity Valley Community College on Tuesday.
