MCC basketball set for first home game

(MERIDIAN) - The Meridian Community College 2008-09 basketball season is already underway with the Lady Eagles undefeated at 2-0.

Coach Hilary Allen and his team won back-to-back road games last weekend in Alabama and Georgia to start their season and now men’s head coach, George Brooks, hopes his team can start their season with wins, also.

The Eagles with host the first home game for either squad Thursday night when they face Mississippi Elite Prep School at 7:00 PM.

Saturday, the Lady Eagles will play their first home game when they host Wallace-Selma at 6:00 PM. That same day, MCC men will be on the road at Southern Union.
