MCC Lady Eagles soccer fall short in District

Meridian Community College Lady Eagles soccer team ended their season with a 7-3 loss versus Navarro College in the NJCAA District E Championship game Saturday.

The Lady Eagles were down 5-0 at halftime but outscored Navarro 3-2 in the second half.

Kari Lieberman scored he first goal off of an assist from Holly Head, then Lieberman scored the second goal off a penalty kick.

Christina Murray scored the third goal for MCC off an assist from Catie Lyles.

MCC ends the season with an 8-3-1 record and won the NJCAA Region 23 title for the first time in the programs history.
