Bounds named All Tournament, Eagles claim another top five

(PHILADELPHIA) – Meridian Community College sophomore golfer, Clay Bounds, was named to the 2008 East Central Fall invitational All Tournament Team with rounds of 76-77 played at Dancing Rabbit Golf Club Monday and Tuesday. The former Lamar standout has now been named to two career All Tournament teams during his Eagle career.

The MCC golf team shot a 619 team score on to finish in third place. The Eagles have now claimed four top fives in six fall events.

Copiah Lincoln won the event with a 599 while East Mississippi claimed second with a 615.

Other MCC scores included: Garrett Westbrook (70-84), John Cleveland (78-77), Chris Cochran (75-81), Nick Hawkes (78-80), Cory Williamson (78-85), and Tanner Sparks (86-79).

This event concluded MCC’s fall schedule, the Eagles return to action next semester at the Faulkner State Invitational at Rock Creek Golf Club on February 22-23.
