Meridian men start undefeated

The Meridian Community College men’s basketball team defeated Southern Union 68-63 on the road Saturday night to earn their second victory in as many games to start the season 2-0.

Former Northeast High School star, Tommy Tillman, scored a team high 19 points to lead MCC to victory. Mario Luckett scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Gary Cunningham scored 16 points while Travis Thompson scored nine. Brandon Baker grabbed 10 rebounds also for Meridian.

The Eagles will play at Shelton State Thursday night in their next ballgame.
