MCC tops century mark, holds off Selma

The Meridian Community College Eagles survived a double-overtime game with Wallace-Selma Saturday night at Graham Gymnasium on the MCC campus.
The 102-100 victory lifted the Eagles to 3-1 on the year.
Meridian was led by Tommy Tillman. The ex-Northeast Lauderdale Trojan scored 24 points, while Mario Luckett had 20.
Patrick McCurtis and Gary Cunningham added 14 and 12 points, respectively. Travis Thompson contributed 11.
Selma shot 42-of-60 from the free throw line with two players topping 35 points apiece.
Meridian has two home games next week, the first coming on Wednesday when the Eagles host Genesis One.
