MCC soccer adds in-state talent

Meridian Community College soccer coach, Alex George, has been busy burning up the recruiting trails in Mississippi.

Coach George recently signed Mississippi high school stars to both the men’s and women’s programs here at MCC.

The Lady Eagles signed two quality players from Ridgeland High School back on Tuesday as RHS seniors Rachel Burgess and Hannah Hill made their intentions known by signing a national letter of intent to play at MCC. Both Burgess and Hill will likely play defenders for the Lady Eagles when they report top campus in the fall of 2011.

Last Friday, Coach George signed Jordan Watson from Vicksburg High School. Watson is the first signees of the 2011 Eagle recruiting class. Watson led VHS in goals and assist, he was also the team captain. Watson is expected to play striker for MCC in 2011.
