MCC Golf concludes Mobile Fall Classic
(MOBILE, Ala.) - The Meridian Community College golf team concluded their 2007 fall season at the Mobile Rams Fall Classic on Tuesday afternoon.
The Eagles used a final round team score of 304 to claim their fifth top ten finish of the year. MCC shot 607 (303-304) for the two day event and claimed 6th place.
Leading the Eagles on the final day was Joe Konieczny who shot a 2-over par 74 following an opening round of 75. Konieczny finished 10th individually.
Clay Bounds shot back-to-back 3-over par rounds of 75 for the 36 hole event.
Josh Ivy and Jarrod Moulds shot rounds of 77 and 78 respectively to pace the Eagles scoring. Ivy shot a 77 and Moulds shot a 78 on day one.
Bryant Self closed out MCC's scoring on day two with an 80, he shot 77 on day one.
The University of Mobile won the team title with a 580 (286-294) team score.
MCC will now break for the remainder of the fall semester before teeing it up in the Arizona Intercollegiate on February 5-6 in Phoenix, AZ to start their spring season.
