MCC Golf in action at Mobile Classic

(MOBILE, Ala) - The Meridian Community College golf team finished round one of the Mobile Rams Fall Classic in 6th place.

MCC shot a 303 in round one of the 36-hole event to place them 17 shots back of the day one leader- the University of Mobile, who shot a 2-under par, 286.

Freshmen Clay Bounds and Joe Konieczny led the Eagles on day one. Both MCC golfers shot 3-over par rounds of 75. Sophomore Josh Ivy shot a 4-over par 76 and fellow sophomore Bryant Self shot a 5-over par 77. Freshman Jarrod Moulds shot an 8-over par 80.

The final round will be played Tuesday at Azalea City Golf Course in Mobile. Play beings with a 8:30 AM shot-gun start.
