MCC basketball opens up with sweep

(MERIDIAN) - The Meridian Community College basketball teams both opened up their 2007-08 seasons with a victory.

Saturday afternoon, MCC played host to Delgado Community College.

The Lady Eagles won 103-25, while the Eagles won 79-78.

Both MCC teams are now 1-0 and will play Wednesday night at home.

The women face Trinity Valley at 6:00 PM, while the men will take on Wallace-Selma at 8:00 PM.
