MCC Baseball Games Cancelled Due to Weather

The Meridian Community College baseball team announced Tuesday morning that its upcoming doubleheader on Wednesday (February 22) with Shelton State Community College has been cancelled due to very wet playing conditions at Scaggs Field. The doubleheader between the two schools will be rescheduled for a later date during the 2017 regular season.

MCC baseball is currently 5-1 overall after a doubleheader split (3-8, 2-1) back on Sunday against Jefferson College as a part of the 2017 Rush Invitational Tournament. The Eagles will return to action on Saturday (February 25) to open a six-game road trip that starts at Wallace Selma in doubleheader action beginning at noon. The next scheduled home games for the MCC baseball team at Scaggs Field will be on March 7 against Southwest Tennessee in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
