MCC Lady Eagles Contiune Winning Streak

The Meridian Community College Lady Eagles extended its
current winning streak Monday night with a 72-61 victory over Pensacola Junior
College. The Lady Eagles have now won three straight games to open the
2014-2015 season after defeating Bishop State and East Mississippi last week.
Both the MCC women and men will return to action Thursday night at home against
Holmes Community College. The Lady Eagles will take to the floor at 5:30
followed by the men’s contest at 7:30.
The MCC women were led in scoring by freshman Tytianna Hall
who had a career night on offense for the green and white. Hall finished the
game with 26 points, while sophomore Miaya Crowder continued her superb play on
the inside for MCC with 14 points. Freshman guard Maia McCullum also turn in a
great performance with 14 points and Londyn Thomas chipped in with 10 points in
the home victory.
Pensacola (2-3) was led in scoring by Alaysia Mitchell with
17 points and Tyisha Moore followed with 15 points for the Lady Pirates.
