The tournament will begin Monday as the Eagles will play 36 holes to open the event and the tournament will conclude on Tuesday as MCC will play 18 holes as a team.

“We are looking forward to competing at Wallace State,” said MCC head golf coach Ronnie Key. “ We have a young, but talented team. After losing four starters from last year's record setting team, we are in a bit of a rebuilding mode, but I feel we have the talent to make some noise on a national level.”

MCC finished the 2012 spring season by finishing third in the country, but the Eagles are only returning a pair of players from the previous season. T.J. Morgan and Gafford White will be in the starting lineup for the Eagles to open the season, and were both members of the MCC golf team last season. Morgan played a major role in the third place finish in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament and was named a 2012 All-American Honorable Mention.

A pair of freshman will be making their MCC debut in the field and those players are Drew Patin (Zachary, LA) and Chase Taylor (Columbus, MS).
