Wade Wass Named National Player of The Week
From School Reports
The Meridian Community College Eagles enjoyed a great opening weekend in Miss-Lou Conference play by taking a pair of wins over Delgado and one player has received national recognition for his offensive performance against the Dolphins. Sophomore catcher Wade Wass has been named the Division I Baseball National Player of The Week according to the NJCAA national office in Colorado Springs, CO.
“He (Wade) has been an example of leadership all year long,” said MCC head coach Chris Curry. “It’s the little things that he has done to make the players around him better that have made the difference. We’ll be looking for him to continue to lead us in conference play and in the postseason.”
