MCC sweeps Baton Rouge

The Meridian Community College women kept their Miss Lou Conference record perfect Saturday by taking down Baton Rouge CC at A.E. Wood Coliseum on the Mississippi College campus.

MCC defeated BRCC 73-65.

The Lady Eagles (20-4, 6-0) got a game-high 28 points and 17 rebounds from Chasity Kearney.

The MCC men picked up another with a 94-81 victory over BRCC.

With the win the Eagles improve to 14-9 (3-3).

Meridian will be back in action Monday night when they make the short drive down I-59 to battle with former MACJC South Division rival- Jones County Junior College.

Tip off for the women’s game in Ellisville is slated for 5 p.m. while the men will start at 7 p.m.
