Baseball, Golf, Tennis all in action this weekend
Spring sports are in full bloom this weekend at Meridian Community College as the baseball, golf, softball, and tennis are all in action.
After dropping a road game on Tuesday at Shelton State, the MCC baseball team returns to Scaggs Field where they will take on Jefferson College.
The Eagles will play Friday at 2 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at noon.
The tennis teams return to action at Northeast Tennis Center on Saturday for a double-header versus two in-state schools.
MCC will face Millsaps College at 10 a.m. then take on Northeast Mississippi at 3:00 p.m. Millsaps and NE Mississippi will pay each ether in between Meridian matches at 12:30 p.m.
The MCC golf team, currently ranked #3 in the nation, will scrimmage against Mississippi State University on Friday in Starkville. Following their battle with the Bulldogs, the Eagle Linksters will head to the Faulkner State Spring Invitational at Rock Creek Golf Club in Fairhope, AL where MCC sophomore Adam Monsen will look to defend his medalist title from 2010. The 36-hole event will start Monday and conclude on Tuesday.
