Tennis falls to William Carey, Dominates ECCC

The Meridian Community College men’s and women’s tennis teams both stand at 1-1 on the season after dropping matches to William Carey University on Friday and then winning both matches against East Central Community College on Tuesday.

In action against ECCC the women’s team brought only two players, so the match was already decided.

Meridian’s seven and eight players Leslie Martin and Elizabeth Case played against ECCC’s number one and four players Cassie Munn and Lori Martin and lost 8-6. Meridian’s Kaley Allen defeated Cassie Munn 7-6 (3), 6-1 and Cecilly Monsour defeated Martin 6-1, 6-0.
