MCC basketball returns to action

The Meridian Community College men’s and women’s basketball teams return to action this weekend after a long layoff for the Christmas break.

MCC travels to Northeast Mississippi Community College tomorrow for a 2 pm/4pm double-header.

The Lady Eagles, winners of their last eight ball games, will enter the contest 12-2. The Eagles, under first year head coach Jeff Walker, are off to a winning start with a 10-4 record.

This will be the second time MCC and NE Mississippi have faced each other this season as the two school’s have agreed to a home-and-home double-header. Back on Nov. 29, MCC swept NE Mississippi as the Lady Eagles won 81-74 and the Eagles won 79-69.
