Eagles fall at Scooba

The Meridian Community College men's basketball team played their first road game of the season Thursday night in Scooba against the Lions of East Mississippi Community College.

The Eagles entered the contest riding a three game winning streak to open their season at 3-0.

However, despite the undefeated start the Eagles lost their first game of the year 82-65 to EMCC.

The Eagles were down at halftime: 37-25, after EMCC jumped out to a quick 15-0 lead to start the game.

Meridian falls to 3-1 and will play at Wallace State-Selma Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Eagles, who are 1-1, will also be in action Saturday in Selma, AL.
