MCC basketball teams set for Miss-Lou title games

The Meridian Community College men’s basketball team advanced to the Miss-Lou Conference title game after defeating Delgado Tuesday night, 95-74.

With the win, MCC advances to play Southern-Shreveport Wednesday at 7 PM.

The tournament is being hosted by Southern-Shreveport.

In Tuesday night’s semi-final match-up, Mario Luckett led MCC in scoring with 35 points. Otis Williams added 13 points, while former NE Lauderdale star, Tommy Tillman, added 11 points.

The Eagles improved to 15-11 on the season.

The Lady Eagles (20-8) had a bye for the semi-final of the women’s bracket and will play in the Miss-Lou title game at 5 PM Wednesday.
