MCC baseball wins at Shelton St 14-13

The Meridian Community College baseball team played Shelton State Monday afternoon in Tuscaloosa and picked up a 14-13 win.

At one point, the Eagles were cruising with an 11-0 lead only to watch Shelton State take advantage of MCC errors in the field.

Jordan Faulkner earned the win on the mound for MCC after pitching four innings and giving up zero earned runs. Matt Cox closed the game for MCC in the ninth inning to earn the save.

At the plate, Tyler Koeling went 2- for-2 at the plate. Drew Snider went 2-for-% with a double, single and 2 RBI. Jarrod Parks went 3-for-4 with a double, triple and homerun. Parks ended the game with 5 RBI. Scott Moseley went 1-for4 with a single and 1 RBI. Tyler Vick had 2-run homerun and a sacrifice fly for 3 RBI in the win. Brent Tanner had a double also at the plate for MCC.

With the win, the Eagle improve to 19-16 overall and will play at Holmes Tuesday at noon.
