Lady Eagles lose close one, Eagles stay undefeated in division play

The Meridian Community College basketball teams faced off against MACJC South Division rival-East Central Thursday night in Decatur.
The 13th-ranked Lady Warriors of East Central used 25 points from Mystee Dale and 20 points from Rashima Jenkins to take a 79-76 win over MCC.
ECCC improved to 11-1 (2-0) while MCC fell to 11-2 (1-1).
NaDosha Strickland and Jennifer Wair scored 16 points a piece for MCC while Maranda Anderson chipped in with 14 points.
ECCC host #17-Copiah-Lincoln Community College in their next game, while MCC host Jones County on Monday.

Regis Huddleston drained eight 3-point baskets in leading MCC to a game high 33 points as the Eagles defeated ECCC 87-66 to sty undefeated in the MACJC South Division.
“It was a big road win,” said MCC coach George Brooks.
“We battled and played hard. We played under control and shared the basketball and moving and spread the floor… It’s a good win for us.”
MCC improved to 8-5 (2-0) and host South Division rival Jones County Monday night.
