The Meridian Community College baseball team returned to action on Monday afternoon with a road trip to Birmingham, AL to take on Alabama Southern Community College on the campus of UAB. The Eagles stayed red hot with a doubleheader sweep of Alabama Southern by final scores of 3-2 and 4-3.

MCC will return to action this Saturday, for its first home games at Scaggs Field since February 20, when it plays its first MACJC games of the 2016 season against Jones County Junior College. The Bobcats have gotten off to a 17-1 start to the season and suffered its first loss of the season on Sunday to Arkansas Baptist by a final score of 4-2.
