Philadelphia High School standout inks with MCC
(MERIDIAN) - The Meridian Community College women’s basketball head coach, Hilary Allen, announced that another local player will join the Lady Eagles for the 2008-09 season.
Tiera Logan from Philadelphia High School signed with the Lady Eagles Thursday afternoon in the Graham Gymnasium.
Logan, a 5’ 5” point guard for Philadelphia, averaged 19 points per game. She led her team to a 28-6 record and runner-up finish in the MHSAA 2A State Championship.
“Tiara is an amazing basketball talent. She was a member of the Mississippi All - Star team and played well in the game against Alabama.” said Allen.
“She has started for her high school team for several years and I feel she will contribute immediately on the collegiate level.”
MCC completed the 2007-08 season with a 23-6 overall record, a Runner-up finish in the MACJC State Championship Tournament, the program’s first ever South Division Championship, and a birth in the NJCAA Region 23 tournament.
