MCC completes season sweep over Delgado
Both Meridian Community College basketball teams traveled to face Delgado (LA) Community College Tuesday night.
The Lady Eagles improved to 8-1 after another dominant performance over Delgado with a 75-36 road win.
NaDosha Strickland led all scores with 14 points, while Dana Parker added 10 points.
In men’s action, the Eagles have won three straight ballgames and are now 6-3 on the season after winning their second one-point victory over Delgado this year, a 63-62 win Tuesday night.
MCC beat Delgado back on November 3 in their season opener, 79-78.
Tuesday night MCC was led by Jason Windom who scored a game-high 21 points, while Regis Huddleston scored 11 points and Thomas Brown added eight points.
The Delgado contest was the second in four consecutive road games for MCC. Meridian defeated Wallace-Selma last Saturday, then defeated Delgado Tuesday night, now they will travel to Coahoma Community College on Saturday and then face Volunteer (TN) State Community College on Jan. 3rd before returning home to host Hinds Community College (Jan 7) in their conference opener.
