MCC set to host rival-EMCC
(MERIDIAN, Miss.) – The Meridian Community College basketball teams are set to host rival-East Mississippi Community College tonight in the final home game of the 2007 fall semester.
MCC split a pair of games at Scooba back on November 12th, with the Lady Eagles winning 72-59 and the Eagles losing 67-81.
“The Battle of Highway 45” is set to tip-off at 6 pm when the women take to the court.
After sweeping the Rush Invitational this past Thanksgiving weekend, the Lady Eagles are 5-1. The Eagles enter the contest at 3-3 after an overtime defeat at Marion (AL).
Following tonight’s match up versus EMCC, Meridian will play four consecutive road games which includes stops at Wallace-Selma (AL), Delgado (LA), Coahoma (MS), and Volunteer State (TN).
MCC’s next home game will be January 7th when they host their first MACJC South Division opponent of the 07-08 season, Hinds Community College.
