MCC Golf Still Ranked Among Top Teams

The Meridian Community College golf team is fresh off its appearance in the 2014 Red Wolf Classic hosted by Arkansas State University this week and the Eagles are still ranked among the top teams in the nation. MCC is currently ranked 19th among all junior college programs in the country according to the latest release of the Golfstat.com poll.

MCC has been ranked in the top 20 for most of the spring according to Golfstat.com and the Eagles finished 15th among 21 teams in the recent Red Wolf Classic that concluded Tuesday afternoon in Jonesboro, AR. The Eagles were the only junior college program represented among the 21 teams in the field.

MCC is now preparing for the District Tournament which will be played in Athens, GA at the Stonebridge Country Club which will be hosted by Darton College April 14-15. The Eagles will also take part in the MACJC Conference Championship Tournament which is scheduled for the end of the month in Pass Christian, MS which will be hosted by Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
