MCC Sweeps Jones

The Meridian Community College Lady Eagles rebounded from a difficult 12-point loss on Sunday to Wallace-Hanceville to take a huge 81-68 road victory over Jones County Junior College on Thursday night. The Lady Eagles improved to 8-9 overall for the season and JCJC dropped its overall record to 9-4. Chasity Kearney led the way in scoring for MCC with 14 points and Kia Morris added 10 points in the win.

The Meridian Community College Eagles completed the sweep by taking a 71-70 win over the Bobcats. Kaylim Noel led the Eagles with 20 points and Giovanni Smith added 16 points for MCC. Smith finished the game by draining five three-point baskets for the Eagles. Meridian improved to 5-11 with the win and Jones dropped its record to 7-7.
