Meridian Community College freshman, Norianna Haynes, led the Lady Eagles with 26 points on Saturday night as MCC defeated Coahoma Community College on the road, 76-69.
Freshmen Chasity Kearney scored her career-high of 19 points, freshman Arnissa Galloway had 11 rebounds, while sophomore Bianca Powell dished out 8 assists for MCC.
Kandi Granger led Coahoma with 25 points.
With the win, the Lady Eagles improved to 4-2 and look to continue their two game winning streak tonight as they host in-state rival Jones County Junior College at 6 p.m. in the Graham Gymnasium.

MCC’s men were led by freshman Travis Fredimon who scored a career-high of 23 points to lead the Eagles to their first road victory of the season, a 91-82 win at Coahoma.
Sophomore Emmanuel Donald added 18 points, while freshmen Trent Tucker and Deangelo Priar each added 10 points for MCC.
Rashad Harris scored 24 points for Coahoma.
The Eagles, now 5-1 on the season, will host Jones County tonight at 8 p.m. in the Graham Gymnasium.
