MCC Softball set for 2009 season

The Meridian Community College softball team will open up the 2009 spring season this week with two road dates.

On Wednesday (Feb. 11) the Lady Eagles will travel to Brewton, AL to play Jefferson Davis Community College at 1:00 p.m. Then on Friday MCC will travel to Ellisville, MS to play former MACJC rival- Jones County at 3:00 p.m.

Following their season opening road trip, the Lady Eagles return to Meridian to host the annual Rush Classic at Northeast Park. Bevill State, central Alabama, Co-Lin, Meridian, Northeast Mississippi, Shelton State, and Snead State are all expected to participate. The Rush Classic will be played on Saturday-Sunday, February 20-21 at NE Park.
