MCC splits a pair of soccer games vs Hinds

(RAYMOND, Miss.) - The Meridian Community College women's soccer team picked up a big win on the road Tuesday night with a 2-1 victory over Hinds Community College in Raymond.

MCC was led by freshmen Taylor George and Christina Murray who each scored a goal. Meridian had a 1-0 halftime lead.

The Lady Eagles remain undefeated (4-0) with the win and avenged an overtime loss to Hinds in last seasons Region 23 semifinal playoff game.

In men's action, MCC dropped their first contest of the year with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Hinds.

The game was scoreless at half.

The Eagles are now 1-1-1 on the year.

Both MCC squads will now prepare for the annual Rush Showcase this weekend at C.D. Smith Field.
