Eagles tie Andrew College

The Meridian Community College men’s soccer team played host to Andrew College of Georgia Tuesday night at C.D. Smith Field.

On a rainy and muggy night, Andrew College got on the scoreboard first with a goal from Armani Williams with 22:36 left in the first half.

MCC's Clifford Johnson answered for the Eagles with a goal at the 24:30 mark in the second half.

A hard fought, physical and sometimes heated contest for both teams ended in a 1-1 tie.

Meridian (1-0-2) will play again on Sept. 15 at Southwest Mississippi.

Meanwhile the Lady Eagles (3-0) will be in action Sept. 13 when they host Shelton State at C.D. Smith Field.
