Belhaven soccer sweeps MCC

Meridian Community College went on the road Tuesday night to face Belhaven College in a pair of soccer matches. The host-Lady Blazers defeated MCC 3-1 in the women’s game. Meridian freshman, Christina Murray, scored the lone goal for the Lady Eagles (1-1).

The MCC men also lost their match with Belhaven. The host-Blazers won 3-2. Heath Carroll and Matt Clifton scored for the Eagles (1-1).

Both MCC teams will be in action this Friday and Saturday in the Gordon College Tournament in Barnesville, GA.
