MCC's men capture State/Region title in tennis
MCC men’s tennis capture State/Region title
The Meridian Community College men’s tennis traveled to Hattiesburg weekend to compete in the MACJC State/NJCAA Region 23 Tournament.
The Eagles ended the season with a MACJC State/Region 23 Championship and an overall record of 15-6.
With the win, MCC qualified to compete in the 2008 NJCAA Men's National Tournament hosted by Collin County Community College in Plano, Texas.
MCC’s men have now made seven consecutive trips to the national tournament.
MCC’s men are currently ranked No. 12 in the latest NJCAA national poll.
Meridian has now won the State/Region title the last two years and has either been champions or co-champions five out of the last seven seasons.
