Lady Eagles softball swept by visiting Pensacloa JC

In game one of double-header softball action between Pensacola JC and Meridian, PJC scored five times in the top of the fourth to break a scoreless tie.
MCC got its first two runs on a two-run homer in the sixth from Shanese Hunter, who led the Lady Eagles with two hits. Stephanie Stevens and losing pitcher Gabrielle Morgan (1-5) also had hits in an 8-2 loss to PJC.

In the nightcap, MCC scored five times in the third inning to go up 5-4, but the Lady Eagles were outscored 9-0 the rest of the way to lose game two, 13-5.
Hunter was 3-for-4 with a double and Chassidy Roberts had a single and triple to lead MCC. Constance Jones and Natalie Parker both had doubles.
Hunter (1-6) was the losing pitcher.
MCC, which is now 2-11, will host Jeff Davis (AL) on Sunday at Tommy McDonald Field.
