The Lady Eagles ripped Holmes in a central division contest before the second game of their scheduled twinbill on Tuesday was rained out.
MCC and Holmes will play a tripleheader on April 28 at Meridian if the game to be made up matters in the postseason picture.
Tuesday, MCC fell behind 2-1 in the first inning but scored five times each in the second and third frames to take control.
Courtney Gordon was 4 for 4 with her 10th home run of the season- extending her own personal school record for homers in a single season- and she drove in five runs.
Terra Moore was 3 for 3 for Meridian while Whitney Drachenburg was 2 for 3 with a three-run homer and four RBIs. D’miracle Biggs had two hits and four RBIs, Gabrielle Morgan was 2 for 3 with a double and Lindsay Hitt also had two hits.
MCC is now 16-16 overall and 5-2 in division play and will host East Mississippi Saturday afternoon.
