MCC used strong pitching and took advantage of its opportuinities to continue its roll with a pair of baseball wins over East Mississippi at Gerald Poole Field.
Meridian took the opener 4-1 and then completed the sweep with a 5-0 win to improve to 28-6 overall and 8-0 in division play.
Lee Swindle and Kendrick Martin each went complete games and allowed just nine total hits for the day to lead the Eagles.
"They pitched really well," said MCC head coach Chris Rose.
"Both went complete games and they allowed only one run. They went after hitters and pitched aggressively."

East Mississippi Pitchers only give up 9 hits also. The errors is what made the difference in the game. Not bad for Freshmen Pitching.
