Hart Makes It To Quarter-finals of MWGA

Former MCC head golf coach, Lou Hart made it to the quarter-finals of the MWGA State-Am by winning her 1st rd match vs. Leigh Phillips. Hart then advanced to Thursday morning to play Shannon Adams. The Adams/Hart match would go all 18 holes with Adams eventually emerging 1 up.
Adams would advance to play Thursday afternoon in the semi-finals match vs. 10-time State Am champ Cissye Gallagher. Gallagher defeated Shannon Adams 3 and 2, which sets up a final match with Meridian resident, Virginia Grimes.
Grimes, who will represent the U.S. in next month's international Curtis Cup matches, had to use 10 extra holes in her semi-final match to advance to the MWGA State-Am Championship match.
The final match is set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Castlewoods Country Club in Brandon, MS.
