MCC Basketball Splits Road Set At Hinds

The Meridian Community College Lady Eagles continued its
recent hot streak to begin 2015 with a 69-38 road victory over Hinds Community
College Thursday night.
The Lady Eagles got another solid performance from
sophomore Miaya Crowder who led the way with 18 points. MCC improved to 10-4
overall with the win and 3-1 in MACJC South Division play.
The MCC men were not as fortunate Thursday night and
dropped a hard fought 67-55 decision against Hinds. Brandon Daniels led the
Eagles in scoring with 20 points and Steven Brand followed with 13 points. The
Eagles dropped its overall record to 6-6 and 0-4 in South Division play.
Both teams will return to action this Tuesday night on
the road at Jones County Junior College. The women will tip at 5:30 followed by
the men's contest at 7:30.
