Baseball and Softball Split on Tuesday

Both the Meridian Community College baseball and softball teams had double header contests on Tuesday afternoon.

The baseball team traveled to Jones County Junior College in Eillisville, MS and split a pair of games, winning game one 8-4 and losing game two 5-4.

The Eagles (11-10) will return to action Friday at 6:00 p.m. when they host Kaskaskia at Scaggs Field.

The softball team hosted Marion Military Institute for a pair of games at Tommy McDonald Field.

The Lady Eagles split their series with Marion, winning game one 7-1 and losing game two 6-4.

The softball team (5-11) returns to action Friday when they travel to Tuscaloosa, AL to face Shelton State at 1:00 p.m.
