MCC golfers sweep Labor Day tournaments
It was a clean sweep for Meridian Community College golfers this weekend during local Labor Day golf events in Meridian.
Former MCC golfers, Daniel Boles and Clinton Hales, captured the Four-Ball Division of Briarwood County Club’s Harry Lackey Labor Day Tournament. Boles/Hales shot -13 (68-70-65) to win by one shot over Billy McWilliams (also a former Eagle golfer) and Willie Frazier.
Current MCC freshmen golfers, Easton Key and Jake Stirling, teamed up to win the Northwood Labor Day Tournament. Key/Stilring won by five shots with rounds of 58-60-59.
The MCC golf team will kick off their 2010-2011 season next week at Wallace State.
