MCC @ JCJC tonight

After both Meridian Community College basketball teams defeated rival East Central Monday, the MCC squads prepare to travel to Ellisville, Miss to face Jones County Junior College on tonight. Tipoff from the JCJC campus is set for 6 p.m. for the women’s game and 8 p.m. for the men’s game.

Thanks to an 81-55 drumming of No. 18 ECCC, the Lady Eagles are now in a tie for first place in the MACJC South Division. MCC is 17-3 overall and 7-2 in the division.
MCC defeated the Lady Bobcats earlier in the season, 83-77.

The Lady Eagles are currently riding a five-game winning streak and are seeking their third consecutive road win in the South Division.

Much like the Lady Eagles, MCC’s men are in a battle for position in the South Division. The Eagles are 12-8 overall and 6-3 in the division. They are alone in third place in the South Division, just one game back of second place Pearl River.
The Eagles will try to avenge a one-point loss to JCJC earlier in the season, 62-61.
