This week in MCC Sports...

(MERIDIAN) - The Meridian Community College baseball team will open up the home portion of their 2010 schedule against Shelton State today at 2 pm. The Eagles, ranked #19 in the NJCAA pre-season poll, are 1-2 after participating in the First Pitch Baseball Classic hosted by Florida Gulf Coast back on Jan 29-31.

Meanwhile the MCC women’s basketball team is in the final month of regular season play and is set to host Wallace State Hanceville tonight at 6 pm in the Graham Gymnasium. The Lady Eagles dominated Delgado for Homecoming on Saturday 81-44, and MCC improved to 18-5 on the season.
