Eagles split with Gulf Coast
The Meridian Community College baseball team split a doubleheader with visiting Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on Friday afternoon at Scaggs Field.
The visiting Bulldogs took game one, 10-8.
The Eagles then bounced back to win game two, 9-5.
MCC is now 15-3 overall and 0-2 in the division.
The Eagles are in the middle of a four-game home stand which started by hosting Gulf Coast. MCC prepares to entertain Alabama Southern Tuesday afternoon at Scaggs Field then Holmes on Saturday and finally wraps up the home stand with rival-East Mississippi next Tuesday (April 1).
