MCC Golfers in action at Community Bank Golf Classic

Day 1: Community Bank Golf Classic

Bryant Self, a sophomore member of the Meridian Community College golf team, lifts a shot onto the 10th green Wednesday afternoon during the Community Bank Golf Classic at Northwood Country Club. This is the third straight year the Adams Professional Golf Tour makes an appearance in Meridian; play will continue through Saturday. Self, who finished with a round of 74, is one of five MCC golfers competing in the tour event. “My guys can’t win any money, but the experience is invaluable and it’s the thrill of a lifetime,” said MCC Golf Coach Sean Covich. “I don’t know of any college golfer — at a two-year or four-year institution — in America getting this type of opportunity.”
